Comprehensive Behavioral Health Services

The Bay Mills Health Center behavioral health team is honored to have some of the most qualified professionals in the region. 

 

Our team includes mental health therapists Bill Malette, Rachel Hileman, and Kevin Nelson. The team also includes experienced Behavioral Health Services Coordinator Renee Johnson and Intensive Outpatient Therapist Jennifer Cifelli. Together, our team ensures access to a comprehensive range of services, including:

  • Individual and group therapy

  • Intensive outpatient therapy

  • Psychiatric services 

  • Family, marriage, and child counseling

  • Crisis services

  • Yoga, massage, and acupuncture

  • Play therapy

  • Educational resources on child development, parenting, coping skills, grief, and stress

  • Guidance for stress and handling change

  • Support services for survivors of domestic or sexual assault and their families 

Addressing Substance Abuse and Addition

The Bay Mills Health Center behavioral services center helps people living with addiction and substance abuse disorders regain control of their lives. The outpatient program serves adults and adolescents, with a focus on intervening in addiction and abuse issues within the context of their individual needs and circumstances.

 

The goal is to help patients feel more in control of their lives by addressing the underlying causes of their substance issues and giving them healthier coping mechanisms and strategies.

 

Substance abuse services at the Bay Mills Department of Health and Human Services include the following:

  • Prevention and outreach services

  • Aftercare services

  • Individual counseling 

  • Resources for additional support and healing, including assistance with family issues and Alcoholics Anonymous

  • Referrals to appropriate social services and community programs
