Bay Mills Department of Health and Human Services provides many beneficial services for mental health, social services, substance abuse and support services to survivors and their families of domestic and sexual assault. Services are available to both Native American families and Non-Native American families (when caseloads allow).

Services

Mental Health
  • Outpatient services are provided to help people lead lives that are as emotionally and spiritually healthy as possible. Working with an outpatient therapist may improve the quality of lives of each individual client as needed.

  • Intensive outpatient therapy services

  • Individual, family, marriage and child counseling

  • Group therapy, coping skills, yoga, massage, acupuncture and play therapy

  • Crisis services available

  • Psychiatric services

  • Information on parenting, child development, handling stress, dealing with loss and grief

  • Help with stressful transitions or changes

Substance Abuse
  • Bay Mills Substance Abuse Program is an outpatient program for adults and adolescents. The addiction program is designed to intervene in substance abuse and related issues based on the individual client’s needs.

  • Prevention and outreach services

  • Aftercare services

  • Counseling on a one-to-one basis

  • Information on substance abuse, family problems and alcoholics anonymous

  • Referrals are made to other helping agencies as appropriate

  • Healing to Wellness or Drug Court
